DSpace is a project initiated by the MIT Digital Library Research Group (DLRG) and HP in an effort to create an institutional repository for MIT and other academic institutions around the world. Today many MIT researchers contribute technical reports, journal articles and working papers to DSpace. Need a journal article or book that the MIT Libraries don't own? Fill out a request online and we will retrieve the item(s) for you within a week. Know of a book the MIT Libraries should own? Fill out our "suggest a purchase" form online and we will generally purchase the book. We put a rush order on it, and notify you when it has arrived so you can be the first to use it! Place holds, request books, renew books and more using the "My Account" feature on the MIT Libraries web site. Go to any reference desk in the MIT Libraries to get your initial password, which you can change the first time you log on. The LSA stores many older books and journals that you may need. Simply fill out our online form and we will retrieve the material(s) for you within one day. Do you have a journal citation for an article you would like to find quickly? Try our SFX Full-text Finder. Fill in the requested information and we will, if possible, find the article in electronic format. If we aren't able to retrieve the article, we will suggest other ways, i.e. paper, for you to obtain what you need. Want a book pulled from the shelf and delivered within two days to the MIT Library of your choice? Try Book Page! |
